Strength training is one of the most effective ways to enhance your overall health and well-being, regardless of age, gender, or fitness level. This form of exercise focuses on building muscular strength and endurance through resistance exercises, such as lifting weights, or using bodyweight movements. While often misunderstood as solely for bodybuilders or athletes, strength training provides profound benefits for everyone—and it’s especially empowering for women.

 

So what are these benefits? 

 

To name a few...improved physical health, enhanced mental health, better daily functionality, and reduced risk of chronic disease. It brings short term gains but above all, it’s a powerful tool for long-term wellness.

Yoga

Yoga flow in Oundle and Glapthorn.....with online classes coming soon!

 

Fi teaches at Glapthorn Village Hall on Friday mornings and at the Oundle School Sports Centre on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Glapthorn can be booked below and Sports Centre classes directly through the Sports Centre. 

Classes are offered on a drop-in basis but please do book online as spaces are limited. 

 

Classes are suitable for all levels but be prepared to move and perhaps sweat a little! Yoga Flow incorporates traditional yoga postures and involves 'flowing' between postures linking movement with breath. We focus on functional movement rather than extreme poses you might see on Instagram, working on both strength and flexibility. We'd love to hear from you if you have questions about suitability or if you're working with an injury or particular medical condition - classes can be adapted.
